History of Van Dyken Drilling
Van Dyken Drilling was started in 1930 by Harry Van Dyken and then later by his son Bert. The Van Dykens owned the business for 46 years until 1976.
In 1976 Klaas Andriesen, an employee and distant relative of the Van Dykens, bought the business along with his son-in-law Bernie Westra. They kept the name of the business unchanged because of the long established history.
in 1988 Klaas retired and sold his interest in the business to Bernie.
In 1995, Bernie hired his son Kurt Westra to work on a pump truck completing new system installations and service work.
In 2010 Bernie retired and sold the business to Kurt.
Kurt Westra currently owns and operates Van Dyken Drilling.
Van Dyken Drilling has grown considerably over the years as the area has grown. We currently employ eleven full time employees, and also have part time help in the summer.
Through the many generations, Van Dyken Drilling has always remained true to it’s commitment and reputation of installing quality products the right way with the right people. After all, that is what a family business relies on – its reputation.
